Krista Knight-Paisley

Krista Knight-Paisley joined Payback, Inc. as Executive Director in November 2025, bringing a deep commitment to restorative justice, community engagement, and organizational excellence.
Krista leads Payback through a pivotal period of expansion and renewal, focusing on optimizing operations, deepening donor networks and court relationships, and building sustainable, measurable programs that serve individuals navigating juvenile court-related obligations. Her approach is grounded in data-driven impact, collaborative leadership, and growth priorities, ensuring Payback can deliver consistent support to the communities it serves.

Before joining Payback, Krista held leadership and civic roles in law firms and nonprofits where she developed expertise in program development and organizational transformation. She is recognized for her ability to build strong partnerships, foster high-performing teams, and execute strategic initiatives.

Krista holds an MBA from Washington University and is currently studying legislative policy at Georgetown University. She is an active member of the St. Louis legal and nonprofit communities. She has made years-long contributions to the St. Louis community through various roles, including as a committee member for Court Appointed Special Advocates, serving as an election judge, and playing a vital role in the operational development of the Education Justice Program and the Children's Legal Alliance at Legal Services of Eastern Missouri, working to create restorative legal support for children. She serves on advisory boards and engages with civic and professional mentorship networks.
